Simone Mareuil in Un Chien Andalou (1929, dir. Luis Buñuel)
“While spending Christmas with Salvador Dali in Figueras, I suggested to him that we do a film together. He said: ‘Last night I dreamt with ants swarming in my hand.’ And I said: ‘Oh! Man! I dreamt about a cloud cutting the moon and me cutting someone’s eye with a razor.’
We wrote the script in six days. We identified with each other so much that there was no discussion.”
-Buñuel, via

This was playing on the giant backdrop last night before Pixies came out on stage. It was easily one of the greatest shows I’ve ever seen. Anyone in Mtl tonight, try and get yourself a ticket. They played all of Doolittle, b-sides included. If you’re short like me, get there early so you can have a nice seat on the balcony and not be shoved around by the mostly 40-somethings rocking the fuck out. I’d go back tonight if I could.
